A tactile brief to celebrate Singapore’s
50th anniversary to celebrate and showcase Singapore’s tourist attractions to promote Singapore as an exciting tourist destination.

We had to create an A2 3D poster of the chosen attraction while drawing inspiration from elements of a chosen artist.

For this assignment, I chose to work on Singapore’s Night Safari, the first of it’s kindin the world and used Andy Goldsworthy as my source of stylistic inspiration. I decided to work on Night Safari because I realisled through research that the location is the world’s first night operated zoo. And upon asking around many people, many Singaporeans didn’t even know that.

On the other hand, I chose Andy Goldsworthy as my inspiration as he works primarily with natural materials in its environment. Such as leaves, branches, rocks and more. so I thought that it would be apt to choose him for such a nature inspired piece. His classic black hole was a perfect symbol for the unknown territory Singapore so bravely enters. The animals were painted in varying shades of black as Goldsworthy classically does this with most of his works, it also helps to give dimension to this piece.
